stone eagle voices and choir
The time has come! I will be hearing all students between second and eighth grade next week. If your child is interested in participating in the after school choirs, performing the national anthem at events or on morning announcements, or singing in any assemblies this year, they should plan to stay after school from 3:00-4:00pm on either Tuesday 9/29, or Thursday 10/1. These are the same days as drama auditions, so your child will be able to stay Tuesday for drama, and Thursday for choir, or vice versa.
The voice hearings are very low pressure. I am mostly concerned with getting to know the voices we have here at Stone. I have asked your children to prepare 30 seconds or less of a solo. Can be national anthem, or anything they know from church or on the radio. I will do some vocal exercises with them, and make sure they can match pitch.
If they are interested in after school choir, and don't have any red flags with behavior or attitude, they will receive an information sheet with all pertinent information.
ALL students staying after school for auditions need to return the permission slip attached here. They were also given the opportunity to take one home from school today.
Looking forward to hearing everyones lovely voices!
Mr. Faille
